The founder and majority shareholder of the Intracom Group who in 1977 envisioned the creation of an advanced technology hub in Greece and has been a leading member of the Greek business community for the past 40 years. He holds degrees in Physics and Electronics and is an active sponsor of leading educational, cultural, athletic and business initiatives in Southeast Europe. In 1997 he became a John Harvard Fellow after establishing the Kokkalis Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. In 1998 he founded the non-profit Kokkalis Foundation, focusing on educational and regional development. A fluent speaker of English, German and Russian, he also speaks Romanian, Italian, Bulgarian and conversational Serbian and French. For many years he was the president and major shareholder of Olympiacos FC, Greece’s leading football club.
