Adam Strachan has over 14 years of experience in the rail and technology industries. In 2007, they began their career as a Communications Engineer at Ansaldo STS. Adam then joined Wabtec Control Systems in 2011 as a Senior Communications Engineer and AutoHaul - Senior Commissioning Engineer, where they authored all commissioning and quality plans and documentation for hardware and software systems for the world's first automated heavy haul rail system (AutoHaul). In 2016, they moved to Wabtec Railway Electronics - STMS as a Senior Systems Interoperability Engineer and then to Wabtec Corporation in 2017 as a Technical Project Manager, responsible for technical delivery of PTC solutions on multiple simultaneous projects. In 2020, they joined Mott MacDonald as a Senior Project Manager - Rail Systems and, in 2022, they became the Director at Paper Capital and Senior Systems Engineer at Intramotev. Adam also worked as a Blockchain Consultant in 2022, performing on-chain investigation (Ethereum) for hacks/rug-pulls, developing bots (Python) to interact with NFT project communities, and analyzing and reporting for decentralized derivatives (options) trading platform.
Adam Strachan obtained a BEng in Electronics and Communications from Curtin University between 2005 and 2008. In 2014 and 2015, they completed a Diploma of Project Management at Swinburne University of Technology. In September 2019, they were certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
