Yumei Xiong is a scientist with extensive experience in cancer research and biochemistry. Currently employed at Intrexon Corporation since July 2014, Yumei Xiong focuses on the research and development of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cell (CART) technology, executing in vitro and in vivo experiments to enhance CART therapies. Previous roles include contractor work at Thomson Reuters, an IRTA fellow at the National Cancer Institute where Yumei Xiong studied T cell differentiation, a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology, and a research fellowship at the American Red Cross Holland Laboratory. Yumei Xiong holds a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Beijing Institute of Biophysics, among other academic qualifications.
