Marek Michalowski

Marek Michalowski has a diverse work history in various industries and roles. Marek currently works for Intrinsic as a Product Manager since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Operations Lead at Intrinsic from July 2021 to July 2022. Marek also has experience in robotics, as they served as a Roboticist and President at BeatBots since November 2007. Marek was the Brewmaster and CEO at Dirty Robot Brew Works since 2005. Marek worked at X: The Moonshot Factory as a Technical Program Manager, Robotics from January 2016 to June 2021. Additionally, Marek held positions as a Creative Technologist and Roboticist at Google from December 2014 to January 2016. Marek was a PhD Student at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2003 to December 2009. Marek also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Japan from July 2006 to July 2008, and at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from February 2008 to March 2008. Marek also served as a Visiting Researcher at the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) in Japan from June 2004 to August 2004. Marek Michalowski has a strong educational background in the fields of robotics, computer science, and psychology. Marek attended Yale University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science and Psychology. Marek then went on to pursue further education at Carnegie Mellon University from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Master of Science (MS) and a Doctorate (PhD) degree in Robotics. In addition to their academic achievements, Marek has also obtained certifications in scuba diving, specifically the Advanced + Enriched Air Open Water Diver certification from PADI and a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration.
