Yorgos Oikonomou

DevOps Engineer at Intruder

Yorgos Oikonomou has worked as a DevOps Engineer since 2020 at Intruder. Prior to that, they worked at KE-works from 2016 to 2020, where they held the roles of DevOps Engineer and Lead Backend Engineer. In their DevOps Engineer role, they were responsible for the design and migration of the platform to a new architecture using microservices, leveraging Cloud Native technologies and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of underlined services. As Lead Backend Engineer, their primary focus was on the performance and reliability of the platform, from database to application level. In 2015, they worked as a Master Thesis Intern at Solvinity, where they developed a prototype working as a resource-management advisor for critical workloads of enterprises. During this internship, they became familiar with commercial cloud infrastructure, VMWare technologies, and developed knowledge of translating customer requirements into applicable solutions.

Yorgos Oikonomou completed their MSc in Computer Science - Software Technology with a focus on Cloud Computing from Delft University of Technology between 2013 and 2016. Prior to this, they completed a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras between 2006 and 2012.
