Maria Whittaker

Maria Whittaker has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maria worked as the Head of Talent and Leadership Development at Intrum since November 2017. Prior to that, they founded re:wake design, an ethical jewelry brand that empowered female entrepreneurs in Kenya and provided them with entrepreneurship training. Maria also worked as an HR Consultant at Maria Johansson HR Consulting from January 2015 to October 2017, and as the Head of HR at Birdstep Technology from April 2011 to January 2015. Maria has experience in program management, having served as a Program Manager at Africa Health and Community Program from October 2010 to April 2011. Maria also worked as an HR specialist at Carnegie Investment Bank AB from July 2006 to September 2010, where they were recognized as the "Best employer branding person" in Universum Awards 2010. Before that, they held leadership roles at AIESEC Sweden, serving as the Head of Talent Management from June 2005 to July 2006 and the Head of Corporate Relations from February 2004 to June 2006. Maria's early career includes a role in international production at Volvo Trucks from March 2003 to August 2004.

Maria Whittaker attended the University of Gothenburg from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. In 2019, they also obtained a certification as a High Performance Learning Journey Champion from the Brinkerhoff Certification.
