Pawel Matkowski

Pawel Matkowski, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Pawel currently holds the position of Global Risk Analysis Director & Group Deputy CRO at Intrum, a role they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk Analysis & Group Deputy CRO at Intrum from March 2021 to December 2021. Between October 2017 and February 2021, Pawel worked as a Senior Group Risk Analyst at Intrum, where they gained valuable expertise in risk analysis. Pawel also served as a Senior Group Investment Analyst from March 2011 to September 2017, honing their skills in investment analysis. Before joining Intrum, Pawel worked as the Regional Investment Director, CEE at Intrum from October 2010 to March 2011. Pawel's early career includes roles such as Chief Process and Operational Risk Officer at Żagiel SA, a subsidiary of KBC Bank & Verzekering, from January 2010 to September 2010. Pawel also served as the Head of Analytics & Credit Quality at KBC Bank & Verzekering from October 2007 to December 2009. Prior to that, Pawel gained experience as an Operational Risk Manager at Groupe Crédit Agricole from May 2004 to September 2007. Pawel began their professional journey as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow at the Finance Department of Economic Sciences Faculty in Wroclaw University of Economics from October 2001 to September 2007. Through their diverse roles and experience, Pawel has developed a strong expertise in risk analysis, investment analysis, and operational risk management.

Pawel Matkowski, PhD earned a Master of Arts degree in an unspecified field of study from Wroclaw University of Economics and Business between 1995 and 2001. Pawel then pursued a PhD from the same institution from 2001 to 2005. Continuing their education, they obtained a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) degree in Investments from the CFA Institute from 2006 to 2011.
