John Tipton

John Tipton has extensive experience in fraud analysis and risk management, currently serving as a Business Analyst in the Fraud Special Investigative Unit at Intuit since November 2012. Previous roles at Intuit include Fraud Investigator, where analysis of merchant accounts and transactions for fraudulent activities was conducted. Prior to Intuit, John worked at Yahoo! from September 2005 to April 2012, holding positions such as Business Analyst II and Fraud Tyrant, leading fraud analysis efforts and managing account monitoring. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Director at the Harambee Center, where management of programs for at-risk youth took place, and teaching elementary students at Harambee Preparatory School. John began a career in counseling working with adolescents at The Sycamores. John holds a BS in Sociology from George Fox University, earned between 1992 and 1996.
