Mohammad Shabbir has worked in the IT industry since 1997. Mohammad began their career as the Director of Database and Middleware Management at Gartner, Inc. (formerly known as Gartner Group). During their time there, they co-led a team of 25-30 Application Developers, System and Database Engineers and implemented highly available application and database infrastructure for gartner.com. In 2006, they moved to GE Capital Retail Finance as the Manager of the Database Infrastructure Support Team. During their time there, they built, delivered, and supported database and application technology solutions to improve end-to-end data infrastructure reliability. In 2014, they joined Synchrony as the Senior Manager of IT Applications. There, they drove leadership and technical expertise to accelerate high-profile project timelines and success with focus on performance and availability, including design, engineering, migration, and maintenance of databases and cloud solutions. Currently, they are the Program Lead at Intuitive.Cloud, where they are responsible for cloud engineering solutions and implementation (AWS). Mohammad has expertise in cloud migrations of databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, MySql, and MongoDB (EC2, RDS, Aurora, MongoDB Atlas). Mohammad leads multiple AWS Cloud migrations of Core Database Technologies, supporting multiple clients Cloud Migrations.
Mohammad Shabbir received their Bachelor's degree in Computing Management from The City University of New York in 1993. Mohammad then went on to obtain their Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1994.
