Matt Klosterman

Propulsion Engineer at Intuitive Machines

Matt Klosterman is a propulsion engineer at Intuitive Machines since June 2021, contributing to the engine and feed system development for the Nova-C lunar lander and micro-Nova hopper. Previously, Matt served as a graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where innovative thrust measurement systems and a high-vacuum electrospray testing facility were developed. Experience also includes a NASA Pathways Internship, where nominal engine-out landing trajectories for the X-59 Quiet Supersonic Transport were calculated, and a leadership role as chief engineer for the Missouri S&T Satellite Research Team, overseeing the design of a 3U cubesat and managing a $60,000 project. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
