Vergenia Shelton

Mrs. Vergenia Shelton serves as President of INTUITIVE where her leadership, guidance, motivation, and mentorship to INTUITIVE‘s team of engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts has propelled INTUITIVE forward as a premier aerospace, engineering, and analysis firm. Mrs. Shelton is responsible for the daily operation and improvement of all systems that deliver the firm’s services. She formulates and implements INTUITIVE’s strategic plan and oversees the complete operation of the organization.

Joining INTUITIVE in 2005, Mrs. Shelton served as the Deputy Program Manager for support to the Manufacturing Science and Technology Division, Systems Readiness Directorate (SDD) of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). She also served as the Director of Design and Engineering for INTUITIVE, where she managed INTUITIVE’s mechanical and electrical design and engineering capabilities. Most recently, Mrs. Shelton served as Vice President overseeing all INTUITIVE Divisions to ensure successful execution of current and future work and establishing goals and objectives that coincide with corporate goals.

Mrs. Shelton’s career includes diverse experience in manufacturing, new product design, product development, project management, and engineering management for commercial product companies. Prior to joining the INTUITIVE team, Mrs. Shelton served as the Project Manager for New Product Development for Cooper Lighting. During this time, she was responsible for overall program technical success including design, vendor selection, tooling procurement, initial production, and product introduction of a high-end recessed lighting product line.

Mrs. Shelton holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She completed her M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama. Mrs. Shelton was honored in 2020 on the list of Women Who Shape Alabama. Mrs. Shelton also serves on the Founding Committee of Women in Technology in conjunction with the UAH Invention to Innovation Center (I2C), the Auburn University Industrial & Systems Engineering Alumni Council, and the 100+ Women Strong Auburn University Foundation.
