Qinchun Qian

Qinchun Qian is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in SLAM and AI for surgical robotics at Intuitive since May 2022. Qinchun has a solid background as an Algorithm Engineer at KLA, focusing on deep learning and computer vision in the semiconductor industry, and as an Advanced Computer Vision Engineer at Zebra Technologies, working on sensor fusion and deep learning architecture for mobile computing devices. Prior experience includes leading computer vision research at Bluewrist Inc., where expertise in point cloud processing and algorithm optimization was developed, and directing the development of augmented reality systems at Arfront Technologies. Qinchun holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Nankai University.
