Tom Brown

Tom Brown is a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Intuitive Surgical, where they design and test innovative solutions to enhance surgical procedures. Prior to this, Tom served as a Mechanical Engineer at Intuitive Surgical, contributing significantly to the development of the da Vinci Xi system and several prototype surgery robots. Tom's previous experience includes managing design projects at Blue River Technology and Berkeley Process Control, where they excelled in robotic applications for agriculture and nuclear power. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley College of Engineering. Passionate about robotics since childhood, Tom enjoys various hobbies, including photography, boxing, cycling, and tinkering with inventions.
