Chase Yamate has over 18 years of work experience. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Sales Associate at Ace Los Gatos Hardware, specializing in Plumbing, Electrical and Lock & Key, as well as working as an independent Handyman for several customers. From 2004 to 2006, they were an Onsite Handyman at BT Property Associates, performing general handyman tasks such as plumbing repair, paint, electrical, structural repair, flooring, etc. From 2006 to 2010, they were an R&D Technician at Westinghouse Solar Limited, performing various tasks for the R&D team, as well as Beta part inventory control, production supervisor for first AC produced module to market, mechanical parts testing, and keeping and organizing department files and revisions. From 2010 to 2017, they were an Engineering Technician at REC, performing solar site evaluations and submitting solar building permits, working with little supervision to perform daily tasks and work truck maintenance, covering northern California jobs anywhere north of King City. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at NEXTracker, Inc., working on creating and correcting drawings for ECO's, working with marketing to design custom display for mechanical rivet system, and designing components of electrical storage prototypes. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Intuity Medical, Inc.

Chase Yamate attended West Valley College from 2004 to 2005 and De Anza College from 2005 to 2014, where they earned an Associate of Science in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician. Chase then attended California State University, Chico from 2014 to 2018, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
