Alan Smith

Alan Smith has extensive experience in financial oversight and governance, currently serving as a Member of the Audit Committee for the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation since July 2020, which manages diverse business holdings in sectors such as energy and transportation. Simultaneously, Alan is the Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee and a Board Member at the Royal Ontario Museum, a leading cultural institution in North America. Alan's previous roles include membership on the Province of Ontario Internal Audit Committee for the IT sector, where governance and risk management practices were enhanced, and a long tenure at EY, culminating in a role as CFO and Partner before retirement in 2019. Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Toronto - Victoria University.
