Jason Shaw

Manager, Configuration Management, Invenco By GVR at Invenco

Jason Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jason started their career as an Engineering Apprentice at Gough, Gough & Hamer Ltd, where they completed their apprenticeship before leaving to gain international experience in London, UK.

After returning to New Zealand, Jason worked as a Field Service Engineer at Motor Holdings Komatsu Ltd, where they were responsible for coordinating and implementing maintenance and repair projects on heavy earthmoving equipment. Jason then joined Viking Marine Services Ltd as a Field Service Engineer, specializing in marine propulsion systems.

Jason later founded Cycle Parking New Zealand, a company focused on designing and selling quality bicycle parking systems. During this time, they successfully designed and sold bicycle lockers for the Auckland Regional Council's Park N' Ride Busway development project.

Next, Jason joined NextWindow as a Customer Technical Support Engineer, providing support to the product development team and customers. Jason later took on additional roles as Operations Manager, Project Manager, Process Engineer, and Change Manager. Jason also spent a year in Malaysia as a Project/Operations Manager, setting up and managing production lines for large-format optical touch screens.

Following the winding up of NextWindow, Jason co-founded In8media Limited, an experimental project focused on coffee cup advertising. As Co-founder, they were responsible for account management, business strategy, and ensuring the delivery of advertising campaigns.

Jason's most recent role was as a Configuration Management Engineer at Invenco. In this role, they managed and supported the company's engineering BoM configurations and product lifecycle management functions. Jason was responsible for managing and releasing changes to product designs, BoMs, documentation, and software, while ensuring transparency, accountability, and quality.

Jason Shaw completed their Bachelor of Info Systems and Business Development degree at Massey University from 2001 to 2004, specializing in Info Systems. Prior to that, they attended Richmond-Upon-Thames College in London from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a City and Guilds Catering degree, focusing on Catering 706/1 & 706/2. Jason also holds a Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Gough Gough & Hamer in Auckland, New Zealand, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. Jason'sfield of study in this program was Heavy Equipment.
