John Duneas

Principal Devops Engineer at Invenco

John Duneas has extensive work experience in the field of technology and network engineering. John started their career in 1997 as a Network Engineer at Unihold Systems. After that, they worked as a Network Specialist/Consultant at Wevs Computer Solutions from 1998 to 2000. John then held the position of Technical Director at Tsunami Network Solutions for a year. From 2001 to 2007, John served as a Technical Network Manager at I-Com Services, where they were responsible for consulting and planning network infrastructure.

In 2007, they joined Gen-i as a Senior Systems Engineer, focusing on networking and primarily using Cisco hardware. For one year, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Gen-i Bay of Plenty, where they designed, consulted, planned, and implemented network and Microsoft and Linux systems.

John then moved on to TrustPower as a Systems Administrator/Network Engineer from 2008 to 2010, where they maintained existing systems and worked on new infrastructure projects using Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft, Unix, Linux, and Oracle technologies.

In 2010, they joined Mako Networks as a Systems Administrator, where they were part of the Operations Team responsible for maintaining, implementing, and monitoring infrastructure at various locations.

From 2013 to 2017, John worked as a Platform Engineer at EROAD, contributing to the company's platform development. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Devops Engineer at Invenco since July 2017, utilizing their expertise in DevOps to drive effective software development and delivery.

John Duneas has completed a BSc in Computer Science from Wits University. John has also pursued an Honours degree in Information Systems from UNISA. The exact start and end dates are not available for both educational experiences.
