Casey Fontana, PhD, is a seasoned technical manager specializing in wind siting and energy assessment, currently employed at Invenergy since February 2019. In this role, Casey has overseen the standardization and optimization of onshore wind methods and led initiatives in offshore turbine siting and energy yield analysis. Previous positions include senior project engineering roles focused on wind project assessments, resource evaluations, and supporting turbine technology. Academic contributions include research at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as an IGERT Fellow and a visiting research fellowship at Global Maritime Vryhof, where innovative mooring systems for floating offshore wind turbines were designed. Additional early experience includes roles as a research assistant at The College of New Jersey and an internship with GPI/Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. Casey holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The College of New Jersey.
