Mike Kaplan

VP, Renewable Development at Invenergy

Mike Kaplan has over 19 years of experience in the energy industry. Mike currently serves as VP of Renewable Development at Invenergy, one of the largest independent renewable energy companies in North America. Mike has played an integral role in Invenergy’s growth, overseeing the development of over 7,000 MW of wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Prior to joining Invenergy, Mike served as Marketing Director & Project Manager at Green World Ventures, where they helped launch the company’s first renewable energy project. Mike also has experience in the construction and development industry, having worked as an Investment Analyst and Project Manager at MARC Construction and Development.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Mike Kaplan attended Barrington High School and then The University of Kansas where they obtained a BA in Sociology + Political Science. Mike then went on to DePaul University to get a Certificate in Masters in Business Administration Primer. Lastly, they attended DePaul Driehaus College of Business to obtain their MBA in Entrepreneurship + Change Management.

Their manager is Mick Baird, SVP, Renewable Development. Mike Kaplan works with James Williams - VP, Renewable Development, Jon Saxon - VP, Renewable Development, and James J. Murphy - VP, Renewable Development.
