Amber Bates

Amber Bates has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Summer Intern role at Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics in 2010. In 2013, they joined the Iowa Institute for Oral Health Research, University of Iowa College of Dentistry as a Cancer Biology and Periodontal Disease Research Scholar/Trainee. From 2018 to 2021, they held the roles of Assistant Scientist and Translational Oncology Research Associate (Post-doc) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Amber is currently employed at Invenra as a Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist 1.

Amber Bates attended the University of Iowa from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Physiology and Psychology. Amber then returned to the University of Iowa from 2014 to 2018 to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oral Science. Amber also holds a certification in CPR.
