Valery Maksimenko has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and data industry. Starting in 2005, Valery worked as an Oracle DBA for the Energy Department of the Government of Alberta, supporting Oracle 9i and 10g in various environments. Valery then joined Telus in 2006 as an Oracle DBA, responsible for creating physical models and ensuring application performance through analysis and tuning of Oracle instances and code. In 2007, Valery worked as a Database Analyst for BC Liquor, implementing a project for the Oracle Application 11i. From 2016 to 2021, Valery worked at Samsung Electronics, first as a Senior Big Data Engineer, involved in B2B Analytics and responsible for ETL processes and performance tuning. Valery Maksimenko obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Irkutsk National Research Technical University, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended Irkutsk Military Aviation Engineering Institute from 1991 to 1992, studying Radio and Electronic Device Engineering.
