Frank Wood

Frank Wood has extensive experience in both academia and industry. Frank is currently the CEO of Inverted AI, a position they started in December 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Associate Professor of Computer Science at The University of British Columbia since April 2018. From April 2016 to March 2018, they served as a Faculty Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute. Before that, they were an Associate Professor of Information Engineering at the University of Oxford from April 2013 to March 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Columbia University from 2009 to July 2012. Frank also gained valuable experience as a Postdoc at the Gatsby computational neuroscience unit, UCL from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, Frank has entrepreneurial experience, having served as the CEO of Interfolio from 2001 to 2002 and ToFish from 1998 to 2001. Frank began their career as a Software Engineer in the Search Group at AOL in 2000.

Frank Wood completed their education with a PhD in Computer Science from Brown University in 2007. Before that, they obtained a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1996. Frank'seducation began at IMSA in 1992, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
