Joanna Chan is an experienced investment advisor currently working at Invest Alberta since June 2020. Prior to this role, Joanna served in various capacities at the University of Alberta from September 2012 to June 2020, including as an Advancement Officer in Asia, where focus was directed towards enhancing engagement activities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Additional positions held at the university involved cultivating alumni relationships in Calgary and Southern Alberta, assisting with the production of the Alumni Awards ceremony, and providing support for alumni programming in Edmonton. Joanna's earlier experience includes an internship as a Trade Commissioner Assistant with the Government of Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, where responsibilities involved connecting Canadian exporters with Mexican importers. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta, earned between 2004 and 2009.
