Nicole Simone has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nicole started their career in 2010 at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, working as a Strategic Planning Analyst for a few months. In the same year, they also worked as a Sector Advisor for the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
In 2011, Nicole transitioned to the Ministry of Finance, where they served as a Business Analyst for the BPS Supply Chain Secretariat. Nicole then joined the Ministry of Infrastructure in 2012, initially as a Senior Policy Advisor and later as a Senior Economist in Infrastructure Finance.
Moving on to 2015, Nicole joined the Treasury Board Secretariat within the Ontario Public Service, where they worked as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Deputy Minister's Office until 2016. Following this, they became the Manager of Policy Alignment and Strategic Engagement in the Deputy Minister's Office at the Treasury Board Secretariat.
In 2017, Nicole joined the Ontario Ministry of Education, where they held two roles. Firstly, they served as the Manager of Strategic Initiatives until 2019, and then as the Director of Strategic Policy from 2019 to 2022.
Currently, Nicole is employed at Invest Ontario as the Director of Strategic Partnerships, a role they have held since 2022.
Nicole Simone pursued their higher education at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. During their time at Wilfrid Laurier, they focused their studies on Strategic Policy and Organizational Behaviour.
Prior to their MBA, Nicole Simone attended McMaster University from 2004 to 2008, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (Hon) degree. Nicole'sfield of study at McMaster University was Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour.
