Herman Young

Herman Young is a seasoned professional in information security with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as the Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Investec since December 2008, Herman has held previous positions as an Information Security Consultant at IBM and MTN in 2008 and 2007, respectively. Prior to these roles, Herman worked at SensePost from 2003 to 2007 as both a Product Manager and a Senior Information Security Analyst. The early career includes a tenure at the South African Revenue Service from 1995 to 2003, where Herman advanced from Information Technology System Administrator to Information Security Manager. Education includes ongoing studies in the Executive Program for Leadership Development & Innovation at Singularity University and a focus on strategy in the digital age from INSEAD.
