Stuart Spencer

Stuart Spencer serves as Chief Operating Officer at Investec since May 2021 and has held various senior roles within Investec Bank Limited since January 2000, including Chief Operating Officer and Financial Director. Prior to these positions, Stuart served as Financial Director at Training Connection from September 1998 to December 1999 and as Planning Manager at Avis Rent a Car South Africa from November 1997 to September 1998. Stuart began a professional career at Deloitte and Touche as an Articled Clerk from January 1992 to April 1995. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the same institution, complemented by further executive education at Harvard Business School in 2011. Secondary education was completed at Pretoria Boys High School.
