Evelyn Wong Caia, Cia

Evelyn Wong has a diverse range of work experience in the finance industry. Evelyn is currently working as the Director of Investment Administration at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO). Before that, they served as the Finance Transformation Lead at Sagard, where they focused on building great businesses with investors and portfolio companies.

Prior to their role at Sagard, Evelyn worked at Invesco Ltd., where they held the positions of North American Head of Collaborative Solutions and North American Head of Fund Accounting Oversight & Assurance. Invesco is a leading global investment manager, and Evelyn played a crucial role in their operations.

Earlier in their career, Evelyn worked at Invesco Canada as the Vice President of Fund Accounting & Reporting. During their time at Invesco Canada, they also served as the Executive Chair of Invesco Cares Canada and Assistant Vice President of Fund Reporting.

Before joining Invesco Canada, Evelyn was employed at AIM Trimark Investments, where they held various positions including Assistant Vice President of Investment Data Management, Assistant Vice President of Fund Accounting, and Manager of Fund Accounting.

Their career began at KPMG, one of the largest accounting firms in the world, where they worked as a Senior Accountant in the Financial Services Assurance Practice.

Throughout their career, Evelyn has gained extensive experience in investment administration, finance transformation, fund accounting, and financial services assurance. Evelyn holds professional certifications including CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).

Evelyn Wong has a comprehensive education history in the field of accounting and auditing. Evelyn obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in the Honours Chartered Accountancy Program from the University of Waterloo in 1998. In 1999, they pursued further academic qualifications by completing their Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree from the same university.

To enhance their professional capabilities, Evelyn obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA, CA) designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1999. In 2021, they became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) through the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors.

In terms of specialized knowledge, Evelyn completed the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) program offered by the CAIA Association from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained the DACFP Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets from the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals in 2022.
