Jay Shi

Jay Shi is an experienced investment professional specializing in portfolio management and asset allocation. Currently serving as Portfolio Manager at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario since November 2018, Jay focuses on portfolio construction and research across public and private assets, with expertise in strategic asset allocation, capital market assumptions, asset class research, and analytical tool development. Prior to this role, Jay held positions at Alignvest Management Corporation and CPP Investment Board, where responsibilities included Global Tactical Asset Allocation and portfolio management. Jay's early career includes analyst roles at Manulife, TD, and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Jay holds a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
