John Banks

John Banks, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. John currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Alta and has held the same position at TradeSmith, LLC and InvestorPlace. In their previous roles, they worked as a Cloud Architect at Stansberry Research, ANCILE Solutions, Inc., and RWD Technologies. Additionally, they served as a DP Programmer and Lead Analyst at the Maryland Department of Information Technology and as an Integrated Computer System Interface Developer at the Court Administrator in the 2nd Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Network Administrator at Banks & Morris P.A. Attorneys at Law. John Banks has a strong background in cloud architecture, DevOps, security, and web application development.

John Banks, CISSP, earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Florida State University from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Leon High School from 1998 to 2002. In terms of certifications, John obtained their Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2013 and their Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)2 in 2014. Additionally, they hold several other certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) from EC-Council, a certificate for Cybersecurity from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and certifications from Rapid7 and Wharton Executive Education.
