Samuel Newell has extensive experience in communications and community engagement, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Together Active since June 2024, focusing on promoting healthy communities through physical activity. As Director of Communications for the Invictus Games Foundation since September 2018, Samuel oversees digital, media, and broadcast efforts for this global sporting event supporting wounded service personnel and veterans. Previous roles include Director of the Board for the Company of Community Organisers, Fellow at the RSA, and various positions at Step Up To Serve, where Samuel advanced from Communications & Public Affairs Officer to Manager and actively contributed to the #iwill campaign. Other noteworthy experiences include work as a Senior Account Executive at Good Relations and as Committee Officer for the UWC Great Britain National Committee. Samuel holds a Master's degree in European Union Politics from the University of Exeter and a BA in Linguistics & European Studies from Nottingham Trent University, alongside a Certificate in Digital Marketing from CIM.
