Ginny Barnett

Ginny Barnett has extensive experience as a technical writer and information system security analyst. Ginny worked in different companies since 1983, developing technical and security documents, creating plans of actions and milestones, and performing certification and accreditations. More specifically, they were a Cyber Security Specialist at Invictus International Consulting, an Alternate Information System Security Officer at ISHPI Information Technologies, a Technical Writer at L-3 Unidyne, Integrated Communications Solutions, CACI International Inc, and Schlumberger/Tokheim, and an Information Systems Security Analyst at AVIEL Systems, Inc. Ginny designed documents, interviewed SMEs, generated white papers, and coordinated up to six writers. Ginny was also involved in the Security Authorization Process (SAP) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), as well as the Trusted Agent FISMA (TAF) reporting database.

Ginny Barnett earned an Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering from ECPI College of Technology in 1983. Ginny also received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from James Madison University and pursued Technical Writing at Old Dominion University. Additionally, Ginny earned a Certificate in Software Development Life Cycle from the Schlumberger Software Engineering Institute. Ginny holds three additional certifications: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)2 in March 2017, Security+ from CompTIA in January 2011, and Certification Authorization Professional (CAP) from (ISC)2 in March 2014.
