Nikos Sarris is a Senior Researcher at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) since April 2020, specializing in multimedia and social media analytics. Sarris serves as an advisor on media technologies at Athens Technology Center (ATC) while also holding positions on the EDMO Management Committee and as an Executive Board Member of EDMO. Additionally, Sarris coordinates technical activities against disinformation through the SOMA project and has previously worked as a Senior IT Consultant. Prior experience includes managing technological operations during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and research roles at ITI and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where Sarris focused on 3D image and video processing. Sarris holds a PhD in Information Technology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MEng in Computer Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester.
