Petros Daras

Petros Daras is currently the Research Director at the Visual Computing Lab (VCL) within the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) and serves as the Deputy Director at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI). As a co-founder and Executive VP for Research at both Complago and D-Cube, they focus on advancing information technology solutions and transferring high-quality knowledge from their lab to the business sector. With extensive experience in computer vision and machine learning, Petros has held various roles in academia and research, including as external teaching staff at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They earned a Master of Science in Medical Informatics and a PhD in 3D object retrieval from the Aristoteleion Panepistimion Thessalonikis.
