Pieter Venter has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on building and architecting platforms. Pieter is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Invisible Technologies Inc., where they have played a key role in developing the entire platform using technologies such as nx, typescript, Prisma, Kubernetes, and Nextjs. Notably, Pieter has contributed to the success of the company by implementing functionality that collected over 5K customer data related to infrastructure configurations, resulting in a significant increase in adoption rates among existing customers. Pieter also implemented agile methodology, reducing project development time from 3 years to 7 months.

In addition to their current role, Pieter Venter is the founder of Ventus, a company they started in 2008. Pieter has also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Upwork, where they were part of the Upwork Pro Talent Cloud. Furthermore, Pieter has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ogilvy & Mather South Africa and as a Software Developer at MiX Telematics. Pieter Venter attended Hoërskool Waterkloof from 2003 to 2005, where they completed Grade 12 with a focus on subjects such as Maths, Science, Computer Science, Tourism, Afrikaans, English, and Additional Maths. Pieter then studied at Stellenbosch University from 2009 to 2011, earning a BComm Management Sciences degree with a specialization in Information Systems Management and Financial Management.
