Presha Shah has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Presha started their career as an Undergraduate Entrepreneur at St. Xavier's College in 2006. In the same institution, they also worked as an Undergraduate Research Scholar from July 2006 to May 2007.
From 2008 to 2008, Presha worked as an MS Dissertation at the Foundation for Research in Genetics and Endocrinology. Following this, they joined the University of California, Riverside in 2010, where they pursued a Ph.D. Their research focused on identifying active class II DNA transposons in Ae. aegypti through bioinformatics analysis.
In 2015, Presha joined Sequenom, Inc. as a Scientist I, specializing in non-invasive prenatal diagnosis using next-generation sequencing. Presha successfully determined the root source of aberrant GC Bias and carried out various tasks related to size selection, library preparation, sequencing, and control distribution.
Currently, Presha works at Invivoscribe, starting in 2016. Presha first served as a Scientist I, where they designed and developed the LymphoTrack assay. Presha collaborated with a bioinformatics scientist for software development and carried out numerous experiments to determine the feasibility of the assay.
Presha gradually advanced to the role of Manager, Product Development at Invivoscribe in January 2020. In this role, they served as the technical lead for an NGS project focused on MRD detection. Presha led a team of scientists and development associates, providing technical guidance for experiment designing, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Recently, in March 2022, Presha was promoted to Senior Manager, Product Development at Invivoscribe. Details of their responsibilities in this position are not provided, but it can be inferred that they continue to play a significant role in product development and management at the company.
Presha Shah's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at St. Xavier's College. Presha completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology in 2007. Presha then pursued further education at Gujarat University from 2007 to 2009 and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Human/Medical Genetics. Presha continued their academic journey by attending the University of California, Riverside from 2010 to 2015. At UC Riverside, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
