Cherry Miao

Cherry Miao is the Director at Invoice2go. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Accel from September 2018 to December 2020, where they led investments in high-growth technology companies. Some of these investments include Galileo (fintech infrastructure, exited to SoFi for $1.2B), Trade Republic (EU investment app, now valued at $5B+), and Invoice2Go (productivity tools for independent contractors + SMB's; acquired by Bill.com). Before Accel, Cherry was the Vice President of Data and Analytics / Corporate Development and Special Projects at Lightspeed HQ from July 2013 to August 2018. Cherry joined Lightspeed as number 60-ish and helped scale the company to more than 600 employees. Lightspeed is now public (NYSE:LSPD).

While at Lightspeed, Cherry raised $250M in funding, transformed their payments strategy, spearheaded three major acquisitions, and created and led their Data team of 20 analysts and programmers who massively improved their analytical and operating efficiency.

Lightspeed makes software that runs 45K+ of the world's leading independent retailers, restaurants, and ecommerce sites and helps them transact $10+ billion of commerce annually. Prior to Lightspeed, Cherry was a Private Equity Associate at Lindsay Goldberg from July 2011 to July 2013.

Cherry Miao completed their A.B. in Social Studies (Politics, Philosophy, and Economics) at Harvard University.
