Dr. Javier Navarro-Machuca

Dr. Javier Navarro-Machuca has extensive work experience in the technology industry. In 2016, they served as the CEO of IO Connect Services, an AWS Advanced Partner, MuleSoft Partner, and Datadog Partner. Dr. Javier'sroles included Business and Technical Strategy, CISSP, 9x AWS Certifications, MuleSoft Principal Solution Architect, CSM Certified Scrum Master, and Certified SOA Architect. From 2015-2016, they were the Chief Software Architect, Cybersecurity Expert, and Founder of Webright, LLC, and a Consultant at Slalom Consulting. From 2014-2013, they served as a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Vistaprint, a Senior Technical Manager at AKQA: PIMCO & Verizon, and a Technical Lead Architect at American Express. Dr. Javier was a Technical Manager/Lead Architect at RSG Media from 2010-2008, an Application Architect-SOA-Senior Interactive Developer at Epsilon from 2008-2007, and a Senior Developer/Application Architect at TelAmerica Media from 2007-2006. Finally, they were a Senior Software Consultant at Pounce Consulting from 2006-2016.

Dr. Javier Navarro-Machuca has an extensive educational background. Dr. Javier obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara between 1998 and 2002. Dr. Javier then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Colorado State University between 2009 and 2011. In 2012, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cybersecurity, Applied Security from Pace University in 2016. Additionally, Dr. Navarro-Machuca holds several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², CSM Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, and several Amazon Web Services certifications.
