Animation Tech Programmer at IO Interactive

Paco Juan has a diverse work experience in the gaming and programming industry. Paco started their career as a Junior Programmer at Meteorbyte in August 2018, where they worked on core game systems and tools, including porting games to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Paco also refactored save files, settings, leaderboards, and stats systems to be compatible with multiple platforms. In August 2019, Paco became a Senior Programmer at Meteorbyte, where they designed and implemented Render Pipelines for commercial games and performed various Technical Art tasks. One notable project was the implementation of a custom deferred graphics pipeline for Deck RX, a game with a unique comic-like art style.

Aside from their work at Meteorbyte, Paco founded Bipolar Dawn in 2016. As the founder, they developed games such as RogueCube and World Soccer Strikers '91, which were published for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch by Ratalaika Games.

In 2019, Paco briefly worked as a Programmer at Cooper Climate, where they developed a mobile app prototype using React and integrated cloud functionalities through Heroku.

Their most recent work experience was at IO Interactive, where they joined in 2023 as an Animation Tech Programmer. Further details about this role are not provided.

Paco Juan completed their education in Software Engineering from the Universidad de Oviedo between 2016 and 2021. Paco also obtained a certification in Space App Camp from the European Space Agency (ESA) in September 2019.
