Ales Marek is a highly experienced professional in the field of organic chemistry and radiochemistry. Currently serving as the Head of the Radioisotope Facility at IOCB Prague since January 2010, Ales is responsible for the custom synthesis of radioactive molecular tracers, radiometric services, and radiation safety supervision. Ales has a strong background in synthetic radiochemistry, having worked on the synthesis of radiolabeled compounds and collaborations in providing radio-labeled compounds for biological applications. Ales has held various research positions, including Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington and IAEA grant-awarded postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Denmark. Educated at the University of Pardubice, Ales holds both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry.
