Emilio Lehoucq, PhD, is a Data Scientist at Northwestern University since September 2017, where responsibilities include web scraping for job postings, developing tools for data accessibility, and consulting on data analysis and statistical methods. As a PhD researcher, Emilio focused on the economic impact of machine learning, analyzing survey data, conducting qualitative interviews, and publishing findings in prestigious journals. Additional experience includes a role as a Survey Research Intern at Slack, where a new user proficiency metric was developed, and positions at Alumni Ventures and Meta, where financial data analysis and user behavior research were conducted, respectively. Emilio holds a PhD and MS in Sociology and Statistics from Northwestern University, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de Los Andes.
