Pedro Rodriguez Alia started their career in 2018 as a Data Analyst at inmho, where they conducted Big Data analytics to determine key service providers and activities for market segmentation. Later that year, they worked as a Research Intern at GISAI - UPM, where they designed and developed an IoT platform using web technologies. In this role, they were responsible for choosing technologies, developing the backbone of the platform, and managing the front-end for IoT assets management.
In 2018, Pedro also joined Minsait as an IT Consultant and Software Developer. Pedro worked on the development team for the Onesait Scheduler product, focusing on development, technical design tasks, and team management. Pedro was also involved in planning the roadmap and backlog for the product.
Currently, Pedro is working as a Frontend Engineer at IOMED starting in 2021.
Pedro Rodriguez Alia has a diverse educational background. Pedro completed their Engineer's Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2012 to 2018. Before that, they attended IESB Ciudad de los Poetas from 2006 to 2012, where they received their High School diploma with a focus on Science and Technology. Additionally, Pedro spent the 2008-2009 school year at Dallam School, although the field of study for their High School diploma is not specified.
In addition to their formal education, Pedro has obtained several certifications. Pedro obtained a MongoDB Developer certification from MongoDB in April 2020. In August 2019, they completed the Docker Mastery certification offered by Docker, Inc. Furthermore, Pedro has earned multiple certifications related to Big Data from the University of California San Diego, including Big Data - Capstone Project (September 2018), Graph Analytics for Big Data (November 2017), Machine Learning With Big Data (April 2017), Big Data Integration and Processing (March 2017), Big Data Modeling and Management Systems (December 2016), and Introduction to Big Data (October 2016). Apart from these technical certifications, Pedro also completed a course in HTML5, CSS, and Javascript development for web, Android, and iOS apps by Miríada X in March 2016. Lastly, in April 2013, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
