Research Associate II - Preclinical Pharmacology & Biomarker Development at IOmx Therapeutics

Andreas Schirmer has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Biology Laboratory Assistant at Helmholtz Munich for two years. Andreas then joined Roche in 2018 as a Research Intern during their practical study semester, and subsequently returned in 2019 as a Research Intern during the semester break. In the same year, they also completed their Bachelor's Thesis at Roche, achieving a grade of 1.0. In 2020, they worked as a Working Student at Roche. Andreas Schirmer further expanded their research experience by joining the Technical University of Munich in 2022 for their Master's Thesis, which they completed with a grade of 1.0. Currently, they hold a position as a Research Associate II in the Preclinical Pharmacology & Biomarker Development department at iOmx Therapeutics AG, starting in 2023.

Andreas Schirmer began their education in 2010 at Helmholtz Munich, where they completed an apprenticeship as a Biology Laboratory Assistant. Andreas then attended Berufliche Oberschule Neusäß in 2015 and 2016, specializing in Agriculture, Bio- and Environmental Technology, and obtained an Advanced Technical College Entrance Qualification (Fachhochschulreife).

In 2016, Andreas enrolled at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, majoring in Bioengineering. Andreas completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in 2020.

Currently, Andreas is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
