Carmen Amerhauser

Senior Research Associate I at IOmx Therapeutics

Carmen Amerhauser has been working in the field of biotechnology since 2016. Carmen began their career with a research course at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München with Prof. Dr. Ingrid Boekhoff Peripheral Taste Systems and Reproductive Pharmacology, where they investigated the meaning of two-pore ion channels (TPC) for the acrosome reaction (AR) in mice sperm. Carmen then completed a research course with Prof. Dr. Barbara Conradt Cell and Developmental Biology. In 2017, they began working as a working student at the Helmholtz Zentrum München with Prof. Dr. Elfriede Nößner Tissue Control of Immunocytes and Core Facility. During this time, they analyzed tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and investigated T cell activity against receptor tyrosinkinase inhibitor (TKI)-resistant renal cell carcinoma lines. In 2019, they began working as a Working Student at Becker & Kurig Partnerschaft Patentanwälte mbB, where they were responsible for information processing and distribution, as well as communication with different patent offices (EPO, DPMA, etc.). Currently, they are employed as a Research Associate at iOmx Therapeutics AG.

Carmen Amerhauser obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biologie, allgemein from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München between 2012 and 2015. Carmen then continued their education at the same university, graduating with a Master of Science in Immunologie in 2018. In 2019, Carmen obtained a certification in Vital negotiation skills from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München. In 2020, they completed a MS-Excel Basics Course from the same institution.
