Ted Balagtas

Ted Balagtas is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Ion Bank since April 2025, Ted previously held the same title at Bankwell from September 2022 to January 2025, focusing on delivering comprehensive IT and core banking infrastructure. Prior to that, Ted served as Vice President of Information Technology at People's United Bank, where a vision for cloud-first initiatives was developed. Additional roles include Director of Server Engineering, Client Services Team Lead at Alphaserve Technologies, Systems Engineer at Align Communications Inc., IT/Communications Manager at ICON Capital Corp, Trade Floor Support at RBS, and Manager of IT Support at Greenfield Online. Ted holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, earned between 1997 and 2002.
