Damien Meert is an experienced R&D Hardware Engineer at IBA since September 2016, focusing on the development of products and systems throughout their lifecycle based on R&D project and customer specifications. Prior experience includes roles as an R&D Test Engineer consultant at MCA Benelux, where responsibilities encompassed the validation of electromechanical products, and as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant for SABCA, managing mechanical aspects of space projects. Earlier work involved research on rehabilitation robots at UCL, which included global optimization and assessment of prototypes, as well as a conception study for a client during a student program at UCL - ELEKTRION. Damien holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Université catholique de Louvain, as well as a CESS from Collège Sacré-Coeur Charleroi.
