David Cho

David Cho is an experienced PT Service Engineer specializing in beam physics and software at IBA, where responsibilities include operating and maintaining the proton therapy system at the Texas Center for Proton Therapy, as well as collaborating with various medical professionals to address system issues. Previously, David served as a Proton Therapy Service Engineer at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, gaining foundational experience in proton therapy systems. A senior design project engineer at UTDesign, David led a team in developing a dual lumen peripheral catheter, focusing on research and prototyping. David's early experience includes a volunteer role as a research assistant at the Texas Biomedical Device Center, where skills in micro-construction and surgical understanding were developed. David also held a leadership position as a shift leader at Feng Cha, managing operations and training staff. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering, David previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas.
