Ian Dougherty

Ian Dougherty is an experienced professional in the field of engineering and physics with a strong background in managing field service engineering teams at IBA since September 2011. As a Field Service Engineering Manager, Ian oversees multiple teams responsible for beam physics and positioning management, and takes charge of hiring and developing field service engineers. Previous roles include Flying Field Service Technical Leader, where extensive travel was undertaken to install proton therapy systems and train other engineers, and Physics Systems Engineer focused on proton beam calibration and validation. Additionally, Ian contributed to particle accelerator R&D as a Requirements Engineer and interned at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center analyzing neutron data from the Mars Odyssey Orbiter. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Rowan University and a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The Johns Hopkins University.
