Rogelio Escamilla

Rogelio Escamilla has extensive experience in Chemistry, with a career spanning over two decades, and has worked for several companies. Rogelio commenced their career as a Production Manager at TEF Labs Inc in May 2000, where they worked until October 2007. Rogelio then worked as a Research Assistant at Beacon Sciences LLC from March 2008 until January 2009. After that, they returned to TEF Labs Inc to work as a Chief Chemist, where they researched, developed, and produced fluorescent ion indicators for cellular research, and implemented multi-step organic synthesis from January 2009 until August 2013. At the same time, they also worked as a Graduate Student at The University of Texas at Austin - Organic Chemistry Department, performing research in the Anslyn Research Group, from August 2013 until April 2021. Escamilla then joined ION Biosciences in September 2018 as a Production Manager, where they worked until December 2020. Currently, they are working as a Chemist at ION Biosciences, starting from May 2021.

Rogelio Escamilla earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin between 1993 and 1998. From 2013 to 2021, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organic Chemistry at the same institution.
