Marco Antonio Huerta Venegas

Marco Antonio Huerta Venegas has a diverse work experience in technology and project management roles. Marco Antonio started their career in 2014 as a Senior Business Analyst Project Lead at Softtek, where they specialized in business analysis, project management, and solution design. Marco Antonio worked on projects to optimize processes and align methodologies for Scotiabank's technology modernization program.

In 2017, Marco Antonio moved on to work as a Senior Business Project Manager at Estrategia Humana®, where they managed projects related to the migration of core banking systems and the development of telephone banking systems for GAP.

Marco Antonio also worked as a Senior Technology Project Manager at Solser - Information Technology in 2017, leading infrastructure and development projects for Scotiabank, with a focus on eliminating mainframe systems.

In 2018, Marco Antonio joined ION Financiera as the Head of Technology. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing and designing technological solutions for operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and best practices. Marco Antonio also served as a member of the IT Governance Committee, responsible for data and application architecture, and evaluating new technologies.

Later on, Marco Antonio took on the position of Head of Data Science at ION Financiera in April 2022, where they currently work. This role involves leveraging data science techniques to drive insights and inform decision-making within the company.

Marco Antonio Huerta Venegas obtained a Maestría (Master's degree) in Informática from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Licenciatura (Bachelor's degree) in Informática from the same university, from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Marco obtained the Scrum Product Owner Professional Certificate (SPOPC) from CertiProf in June 2021.
