William Chiang

William Chiang, FRM has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. William currently serves as the Lead Product Manager at ION, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Openlink Financial for over a decade in various roles. From January 2017 to March 2020, they were a Senior Technical Product Manager, responsible for managing technical aspects of the product. Before that, they worked as a Product Manager from January 2015 until the end of 2016. From December 2012 to January 2015, they served as a Senior Risk Analyst, implementing risk management reports for top financial and energy trading clients. William began their career at Openlink Financial as a Business Analyst from January 2009 to February 2012 and then moved into the role of Risk Analyst from January 2011 to December 2012.

In addition to their work in the financial industry, Chiang also has experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at New York University from September 2007 to May 2008. In this role, they were responsible for grading assignments, maintaining grade records, providing clarification on finance topics, and collecting research data.

William Chiang, FRM, obtained a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering from New York University in the years 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in 2024 and Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in 2017.
